CPU, memory and GPU — right in your Mac menu bar.
A live menu bar CPU monitor for Mac and Windows: a real-time CPU chart, a memory and swap readout, and GPU VRAM where you have a dedicated card — plus one metric mirrored right in the tray so you watch it without opening anything.
A system monitor that lives in your menu bar.
Open the popover and Toolbox shows your machine at a glance: a live CPU usage area chart, a memory (RAM) bar, and a swap / pagefile line. When swap is disabled on your machine, that line is hidden — no empty rows, just the numbers that matter.
- Live CPU usage chart that updates in real time
- Memory (RAM) bar with a swap / pagefile line
- Lives in the same menu-bar icon as the rest of Toolbox
A GPU monitor — and one metric always in view.
On Windows machines with a dedicated GPU, you get a live VRAM monitor: how much of the graphics card’s own memory is in use. On macOS, Apple Silicon shares one pool of unified memory — there is no separate VRAM, so that block is simply hidden. On top of that, you can mirror any one metric — CPU, memory or VRAM — right in the menu-bar or system-tray title.
- GPU VRAM usage on dedicated-GPU Windows machines
- Hidden on macOS unified memory — no fake numbers
- Mirror CPU, memory or VRAM in the tray title
Mirror any metric right in the menu bar.
A free iStat Menus alternative.
If you’ve used iStat Menus or a Windows gadget, this covers the everyday need — keep an eye on CPU, memory and GPU — without a paid, single-platform app. It rides along inside Toolbox, so it’s one icon for your system stats, notes, timers and dev tools.
- CPU, memory and swap on macOS and Windows
- GPU VRAM on dedicated-GPU Windows machines
- Part of a whole toolbox, not a lone icon
Questions, answered.
Does it show GPU / VRAM usage?
Yes — on Windows machines with a dedicated GPU, where the graphics card has its own memory pool, you get a live VRAM usage bar. On macOS (Apple Silicon uses unified memory) there is no separate VRAM, so that block is hidden — there is nothing distinct to show.
Can I see a metric without opening the app?
Yes. You can mirror one live metric — CPU, memory or VRAM — right in the menu-bar (macOS) or system-tray (Windows) title, so you keep an eye on it without opening anything.
Does it track memory and swap?
Yes. There is a live memory (RAM) usage bar, plus a swap / pagefile line. When swap is disabled on your machine, that line is simply hidden.
Is it free?
Yes. System Info is one of the widgets built into Webstarted Toolbox, which is free to download and use — no account required.
macOS and Windows?
Both. The same app runs on macOS and Windows. CPU, memory and swap show on both; the VRAM block shows on Windows machines with a dedicated GPU.
